Coach Udara

At Cricket Academy NT, we are dedicated to developing cricketers of all ages and abilities — from beginners to elite players — through structured, professional coaching.

Our Head Coach Udara Weerasinghe is an Australian Level III Accredited Coach with extensive experience in player development, specialising in one-on-one training to refine both technical skills and tactical awareness. With a coaching philosophy built on hard work, simplicity, and consistency, our programs are designed to accelerate skill growth while fostering a deep understanding of the game.

As a player, he has represented Australia at the National level and was a member of the Sri Lanka ‘A’ Team squad, achieving significant milestones in his playing career. Transitioning into coaching, he has spent over 20 years in Australia developing male and female cricketers across junior, senior, club, and state levels. His expertise has also extended to providing professional support for national and international cricketers and coaching staff through specialised one-on-one programs.

Coaching Qualifications

Cricket Australia High Performance (Level 3) Coaching Program – Successfully completed.
Level 2 Cricket Coaching Examination (Australia) – Successfully completed.
Level 1 Cricket Coaching Examination (Australia) – Successfully completed.
Level 1 Cricket Coaching Examination (Sri Lanka) – Successfully completed.
Level 1 Umpire Examination in Cricket (Australia) – Successfully completed.
